Quilts for Comfort
Project #15
Joyce M. brings to us our next Quilts For Comfort recipient. She writes "At Baystate Medical Centers adult ICU, approximately 250 people die each year. A program has been started called Comforts of Home which is designed to provide a more homey atmosphere during the dying process. Bright overhead lights are replaced with subdued light from a floor lamp, soft music plays and a small 36" square quilt is placed at the foot of the bed. The quilt will be sent home with the family as a keepsake. One idea is to have a solid 7" square where a hand print of the loved one can be placed. Thank you SQ QFC for your support of our Comforts of Home in ICU." Let's see how many quilts we can make for this special organization.

By donating at least one finished quilt each year to QFC you will receive a 10% discount on future purchases (with few exceptions).
